Product Description
Dulux Weathershield Roof Primer is a solventbased vinyl-toluene acrylate primer which improves Roofshield adhesion on weathered tiles. Weathered roof tiles are often friable and chalky even after cleaning by scrubbing or high pressure water jetting. Unless properly cleaned before painting, the paint will often flake on aging due to these dirty and weak substrates.
Application Description
To ensure good wetting and penetration, thin with Dulux Thinner 850-41 or white spirit. On cool tiles, thin up to 10%. On hot tiles, thin up to 25% to overcome the quick solvent evaporation.

brush and high pressure water jet. Treat any areas affected mould,
lichens, algae and moss with Dulux Fungicidal Wash. Make good minor
defects with a suitable exterior grade Filler. Surfaces that remain powdery,
friable or chalky after thorough preparation should be sealed with one coat
of an appropriate Primer (see below). It should not be applied on areas
where moisture reading (as measured by Protimeter) exceeds 17%. These
